Class Update option is used to promote students to the next class in new session.

Follow the below-mentioned steps to promote student to next class in new session -

• Click on Student module.
  
• Click on Class Update option.
  

           

• Following window opens.
  
• Select the Previous (Old) Session from which you want to promote (update) the students in current session.
  
• If you want to promote (update) multiple students of any particular class then select  Class Wise  option.
  
• S elect  Shift [▼], Class [▼], Stream [▼] (Only for Higher Classes), Section [▼]  from which the students is to be promoted (updated) .
  
• Click on Search button.
  
• The students records will be listed as follows.
  
• ☑  Select those students whom you want to promote (update)  by clicking on the checkbox.
  

OR

• If you want to promote (update) all students of a class to next class in new session then click on ☑  Select All checkbox option.
  
• S elect new  Shift [▼], Class [▼], Stream [▼] (Only for Higher Classes), Section [▼]  to which the students is to be promoted (updated) .
  
• Click on Add button to add students to next class in new session.
  
• The students records who are being promoted (updated) to next class in new session will be listed as follows.
  
• 
  
• If you don't want to promote (update) any particular student to next class in new session then select that particular student by ☑  Selecting the checkbox. Then c lick on Remove button.
  

Note - Use Remove button to remove failed or school left students from list.

• Otherwise to promote (update) students to next class in new session click on Update button.
  
• Following message will be displayed.
  
• Click on OK button.
  
• Students records will be successfully updated to next class in new session.
  

• If you want to promote (update) any particular (only one) student of a particular class then  search student by selecting any of the following fields and filling the respective detail.
  

• Reg No
  
• Sr No
  
• Name
  

• Click on Search button.
  
• The student record will be listed as follows.
  
• ☑  Select the student by clicking on the checkbox.
  
• S elect new  Shift [▼], Class [▼], Stream [▼] (Only for Higher Classes), Section [▼]  to which the student is to be promoted (updated) .
  
• Click on Add button to add a student to next class in new session.
  
• The student who is being promoted (updated) to next class in new session will be listed as follows.
  
• If you don't want to promote (update) student to next class in new session then select that student by ☑  Selecting the checkbox. Then c lick on Remove button.
  

Note - Use Remove button to remove the student if he / she has failed or left the school.

• Otherwise to promote (update) students to next class in new session click on Update button.
  
• Following message will be displayed.
  
• Click on OK button.
  
• Student will be successfully updated to next class in new session.
